Tannika Moore is a writer, a poet, an editor, and an educator. She is a firm believer that there are two things people can’t take from you, and that is your education and faith, which are major focuses in her career and life.

Tannika is known for her encouraging words, her faith in Christ Jesus, and her love for food. Besides helping underprivileged youth prepare for college, she has written for her alma mater. She has also written as well as edited for a blog and organization dedicated towards empowering women. Tannika teaches youth Sunday school and also writes poems and skits for special events at her church of fellowship.

She has a Bachelor’s of Arts in English: Professional & Technical Writing. Her favorite genre of writing is poetry and she has self-published two poetry books titled Setting The Captive Free and Wearing Someone Else’s Shoes Ain’t Never Been Me. Tannika has edited various works from research papers to web content.

She loves mixing words together to bring forth beauty, life, and creativity. Her writing began as a way of expression and release. Now it continues also as a way to learn about herself and the world around her as well as to find and strengthen her voice. She looks forward to not only encouraging you to do the same, but to further her writing and love for devotionals, mysteries, and various fiction in her next books. She often can’t sit still but you can find her someday in a comfty sun-lighted book nook overlooking a sandy beach, enjoying steak tacos and a chocolate chip frap while reading or writing. But for now, Tannika resides with her family outside of Chicago. She enjoys cooking and vacationing with family and friends.
